With over 15 years' experience playing the Great Highland Bagpipes, I am available to add an extra special touch to any event you are planning. I wear the kilt in the Johnstone tartan, and I wear a shirt and tie, a green tweed jacket and waistcoat, a sporran, ghillie brogues (shoes), hoes and flashes (socks with the decorative ribbons), and a glengarry hat, as you can see in the photo below.

Kathryn currently plays for The Dennis Cuddles Starlight Band (DCSB). There are several local ceilidh bands around and each one has its own unique sound, but all of them are undeniably toe-tapping and dance-worthy.
I have a full PA system set up and work closely with Oliver Simons - ceilidh caller, to produce high quality, toe-tapping music whilst Ollie skilfully guides the dancers through the dances with his energetic, engaging, and inclusive calling style.
Vanessa is a 21 note street organ made by Mr Peter Trueman. She has piccolo pipes and a glockenspiel, controlled by two stoppers on her side. She makes music from cardboard books with holes cut into different positions to produce the different notes as the book is rolled through. Currently, there is are about 50 tune books that Vanessa can play with Andrew the monkey sat by her side in his brass rocking chair.
Here are a couple of questions I am frequently asked!
