Kathryn herself is involved in every single event right from the very beginning — from your first message to the last dance of the night. Whether she's playing the Highland bagpipes for your ceremony, the diatonic accordion for your ceilidh, or supporting acoustic music sets with saxophone, double bass, cajón (a box-shaped drum), or whistle as needed, you can be confident you're getting the very best in live music and party experience.

 

Kathryn always works with a trusted circle of musicians she knows personally, selecting players she has performed with many times, from across the whole UK. This ensures that every KJ Ceilidhs event is filled with energy, skill, and a genuine sense of connection, whilst keeping the band local to you.

 

A multi-instrumentalist and composer, Kathryn has been playing the Highland bagpipes since the age of 10 and is the creative force behind many of the foot-stomping ceilidh tunes used at KJ Ceilidhs. She originally joined Pig Dyke Molly — a vibrant molly dancing side based in East Anglia — as an alto saxophonist, but one day was handed a melodeon... and somehow played a tune straight away. That spontaneous moment sparked a deep love for the diatonic accordion, which she now plays regularly at events.
